HCI Rally to Pentewan Sands

Saturday 22nd June to Saturday 6th July 2019

Ken and I assisted by Nick and Shirley Hardey invite you to join us on the beach at Pentewan Sands between St Austell and Mevagissy.  This wonderful 5 star site offers everything you could wish for in a holiday.  Have a look on the web site at www.pentewansands.com.  This will be the usual relaxed rally and you will be able to explore this lovely area even without transport.  The bus to ‘everywhere’ stops just outside the gate.  We hope to have a couple of scooter/motorcar runs as we did last year. The tourist attractions of the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligon are close by – the locally baked scones are to die for.  The same bakery supplies us with pasties fresh from the oven. Bring your own transport if you have it to make the most of the area.  A cycle path runs from the site and the nearby St Austell Railway Station will give you entry to Poldark Country.

The fees have again been increased but we are given a third off the commercial rate and we get full use of all the facilities.  The cost for two weeks will be £305 with electric hook up (departing Saturday 6th July).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SITE DOES NOT ALLOW CATS OR DOGS

HCI Rally at L`Isle Verte – Montsoreau

Saturday 31st Aug to Saturday 7th Sept

Sue and Eddie invite you to the 7 day HCI rally at Camping L`Isle Verte Montsoreau situated in the beautiful Loire Valley. Montsoreau you will find is like a closely guarded secret with its sublime architecture in the subtle shades of French lace that hide the village`s latent luxuries from the fleeting glances of the tourist hordes that stop in their coach loads in neighbouring Saumur. If you want to experience the local Loire without the umbrella wielding tour guides Montsoreau is ideal.

If it is French splendour, style and gastronomy you seek then  the Val de Loire (Loire Valley) will exceed your expectations. Poised on the crucial frontier between northern and southern France the region was once of immense strategic importance. Kings, Queens, dukes and nobles came here to establish feudal castles and later on sumptuous pleasure palaces – that is why this fertile river valley is sprinkled with hundreds of Frances`s most opulent aristocratic estates. With crenelated towers, soaring cupolas and glittering banquet halls, the regions chateaux, villages and vineyards attest to over a thousand years of rich architectural and artistic creativity.

We have in conjunction with Clement the campsite owner devised an exciting programme for you to explore, experience and taste the delights of this wonderful area, including a visit to a local wine cellar with tasting of course, a visit and tasting at the nearby distillery, experience the local delicacies, compete in a tournament in the local game of “Boule de Fort” and possibly one of the highlights of the week for you will be lunch in a troglodyte cave.

The all inclusive fee for this 7 night rally is £380 based on an exchange rate of £1 = €1

HCI Rally at L`ile d`Or - Amboise

After our first week of the Loire Valley Rally at Le`Isle Verte we continue along the route of the Loire River to our next destination at Amboise just 1.5 hours away, but in essence it could be a million miles away. Two completely different destinations yet so close together. Located between the two branches of the Loire, the campsite of l’ile d’Or offers a unique setting where nature and history have combined for your pleasure. A stone’s throw from the campsite tranquility on the island to that of the bustling city, which used to be the Royal City. You may even experience the spirit of the French Kings or that of Leonardo da Vinci!

The campsite is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, opposite the Royal Castle and not far from the Clos Lucé (last home of Leonardo da Vinci),  Amboise is a very special place that you will be sure to enjoy.

There will be group visits organised to some of the major attractions in the city including a group meal in one of the many hostelries and a final meal together before we depart. You will also have ample free time to explore this beautiful City at your own leisure.

The all inclusive fee for this week will be  £300  with EHU. Based on an exchange rate of £1 = €1.
